Pilates/yoga classes

Monday classes are online through Zoom and the rest are in person classes.

Class schedule:

Monday:       pregnancy class on Monday at 6.45pm, general Pilates class at 8.00pm

Tuesday:      general class at

8.15pm in the Iona Centre, Knocklyon.

Wednesday:  6.15pm and 7.30pm  Green Kitchen, Walkinstown Green.

All my Pilates classes are based on safe spine techniques as taught to me by Doctor Stuart McGill and Rebecca Leone and are currently conducted on Zoom. I am grateful for the scientific information that has been imparted to me and I implement in all my classes. I also utilise the training of Katy Bowman, Biomechanist and all the safety elements contained. The classes are a mixture of somatic release, strength building and relaxation. See what some of my students have to say about our classes over on the testimonials page. Private sessions/classes are available on request.

Mother and Baby Pilates

This Pilates zoom class is primarily about Mam getting fit after pregnancy and is geared to the energy level of Mams on the particular day.  It is not bootcamp so you can stop to rest at any time.  Babies do what babies do so do not be concerned about baby needing to be fed, changed etc.  We do some of our moves over the babies so there is interaction.  The last part of the class is just about the babies, we play little games, give them stomach time and let them see and interact with each other.

Pregnancy Yoga and Pilates

There is no need to have any knowledge of yoga before attending our prenatal yoga/Pilates zoom class as it is specifically designed for pregnant women.  In our busy world it is great to actually take a little time out to acknowledge your pregnancy and spend some time working to offset problems that may occur and building stamina for the birth of baby. I take women into my class from 14 weeks onwards and have had women in my class up to 41 weeks pregnant.

Baby Yoga

In my prenatal yoga/Pilates class we work on the following:

  • Improving posture which will help prevent backache, neck pain, shoulder pain and pelvic pain etc
  • Calming breathing techniques
  • Interaction with other Mothers to baby
  • An opportunity to bond with baby
  • Maintain and build fitness and stamina
  • Techniques that help prevent a diastasis recti
